About:The Youth for Peace (Y4P) 2014-2015 project aims to support young people in Kenya to become active advocates of building peace. Through a network of peace museums and school peace clubs this project utilizes African cultures traditions of peaceful coexistence and diversity. These traditions provide youth with peace building skills through artistic and creative expressions of democracy that address contemporary issues.
Partnership: This project collaboration is between the Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB) and the Community Peace Museums Heritage Foundation (CPMHF) and is funded through the Creative Force Programme: Swedish Institute. The Creative Force programme provides funding for collaborative initiatives promoting human rights, transparency and democracy with the aid of initiatives that use either culture or the media as a method for achieving change. |
