Youth For Peace Projects:
1. A Peace Sculpture by Morans (young male warriors) in the Samburu Region designed from dialogues between two rival communities and the young women of the villages.
2. 'Mending the Broken Pieces' A programme of arts and cultural activities with young male offenders inside the Kamiti Maximum Security Prison, near Nairobi.
3. At the Akamba Peace Museum activities have centred on the recording (visually and digitally) of the Mbeni Dance.
4. Language Regeneration of the Yaaku tribe in Western Kenya through inter-generational dialogue, books, publications, posters, songs and children’s activities.
5. Creation of a Peace Garden at Gaitu, Isukha Mulindi Peace Museum through Peace Clubs to engage and encourage the creation of peace education materials.
6. Nyamira Drama project fighting against drugs, alcohol abuse and addiction in a deprived rural area through creative expression about social problems.
7. Encouraging young women as advocates for peace to challenge traditional gender roles in the power structures in the Keiyo, North Rift Valley.
8. Language Regeneration of the Dorobo language by teaching young people about their heritage and culture by providing creative expression at the Dorobo Tigande Peace Museum.
9. Training Peace Ambassadors as story tellers through traditional expressions by collating songs, stories and objects in Tharaka and Chuka.
10. A country wide research project that reclaims the role of women as peacemakers in Kenya run by the CPMHF management group.
11. The logo competition project that promotes creativity and innovation among the youth in peace clubs in primary and secondary schools in Kenya. The winning entry will be used at the closing event in Nairobi this August where young people will gather to share their creative contributions to fostering peace.
